Dr. Gregory Kloesel, O.D.

Dr. Gregory Kloesel has been providing comprehensive eye care to Southlake families for over 30 years. Known for his thorough exams and patient-first approach, he focuses on improving vision and overall quality of life with care that’s never rushed.

Education & Credentials 

Dr. Kloesel earned his Doctor of Optometry magna cum laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1989 and holds both Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist certifications through the Texas Board of Optometry. 

He also completed externships at Carswell AFB Hospital, The Lighthouse of Houston, and the Good Neighbor Clinic, gaining extensive experience in medical and therapeutic eye care. 

Since opening North Texas Eye Care in 1992, Dr. Kloesel has built long-term relationships with patients who trust him for routine and complex eye care. He is active in his church community and donates time to provide free eye exams to Regnum Christi consecrated nuns, among other outreach efforts. 

Personal Life 

Originally from Baytown and raised in Arlington, Dr. Kloesel lives in the Southlake area with his wife, Jennifer, and their four children: Bernard, Nicholas, Isabella, and Juliet. In his free time, he enjoys mountain climbing, hiking, cycling, and spending time outdoors with his family. He has climbed in Colorado, the Grand Tetons in Wyoming, and Mount Rainier in Washington.
